He received his basic education at the National Institute of Gemology in France, then continued his studies at the American Institute of Geology in Los Angeles, after which he discovered hydroponics, which became his passion in 1985. He and Lawrence Brook, his old friend and founder of the company "General Hydroponics", developed aero-hydroponics. A few years later, he started his first research assignment for General Hydroponics at the White Owl Water Farm in Sebastopol, California.
In 1994, he moved to France and together with his wife Nucetta Kedi founded the company "General Hydroponics — Europe". William Texier is a true innovator of the hydroponic industry. In 2004, he developed and patented "bioponics" (organic hydroponics).
Currently, he is the head of research and development at General Hydroponics in Europe and abroad with a team of scientists from various departments of the University of California. He publishes articles and conducts seminars all over the world. He is considered one of the most knowledgeable experts on hydroponics in the world, having thirty years of experience in this industry.
