What is Plagron Batmix?

Plagron Batmix is a mixture of high–quality, carefully selected types of peat. It contains a large number of fibers and perlite, which provides high oxygen saturation of this soil. The presence of vermicompost in this soil ensures the lush growth of greenery and increased water absorption. The main nutrient in Batmix is bat droppings.

Advantages of Batmix

Batmix provides a complete fertilizer for your plants at least in the first six weeks of use, contains additional phosphorus and potassium, improves the taste and smell of fruits.

Technical information

Rinse with water before use to wash out the instantly absorbed nutrients

Additional nutrients can be added no earlier than after six weeks of use (depending on the condition of the plant)

The composition includes white peat, black peat, peat fibers, perlite, worm waste products, bat droppings

Use together with Alga Bloom and products from the UNIVERSAL line for the best result

When can I add nutrients?

Batmix is provided with fertilizers for about six weeks. The further use of additional nutrients depends on different conditions – the illumination of the plant, its type, and so on. When the leaves become less green, which happens after about six weeks, you can add nutrients.

Should I monitor the pH level when using Batmix?

Not if you use it in conjunction with the 100% Natural line.

Why and how to wash the Batmix before use?

Batmix is the most fertilized soil. Young plants that are not yet accustomed to high values of electrical conductivity may experience difficulties with sudden transplanting into such soil. Therefore, we recommend rinsing the Batmix before you plant a plant in it. Fill a pot (for example, a 10-liter pot) with soil and rinse with water (from 5 to 10 liters). After that, you can plant the plant. Those fertilizers that are absorbed directly will be washed out of the soil along with water. In the following days, the value of electrical conductivity in the soil will rise again and gradually release fertilizer components that are not absorbed.

Is it possible to mix Batmix with ordinary soil if I grow plants in the open ground?

Yes. We advise you to mix Batmix with ordinary soil if the soil is clay. If it is light, it is better to use bat droppings separately.
