Description

The cover is a sieve for germination

Its holes make it easy to flush the contents of the jar and open air access to the jar. The inner mesh does not allow even the smallest seeds to seep into the sink during washing. A side projection allows you to place the jar on a horizontal surface at an angle so that the air penetrating from below creates a greenhouse effect inside the jar. All you still need to make a full-fledged sprouter is a standard jar of any capacity (0.5; 1.0; 2.0 and 3.0 liters.).

The resulting germinator is suitable for any cereals, legumes, seed mixes and seeds for germination from our assortment, except flax, amaranth, arugula, chia, sesame, watercress. For these seeds, the lot method or the "Health Treasure" aerial garden is suitable.

How to germinate with a lid-sieve?

1. Put grains or legumes on the bottom of the jar (filling the container with them by no more than 1/3), or seeds or seed mixes (so that only the bottom is covered, no more).
2. Close the jar with a sieve lid and pass through it a few liters of running water so that the grains or seeds inside are washed, and drain the water through the lid.
3. Pour clean water into the jar half of its capacity and leave to soak for several hours in the usual vertical position. It is convenient to put it on at night. A more accurate time of soaking of grains and seeds can be determined from this table.
4. After the soaking time has elapsed, drain the water without opening the lid and rinse as indicated in paragraph 2. Similarly, rinse your grains or seeds 2 times a day until the seedlings are ready.

Between rinses, hold the jar lid down (put the lid down on a horizontal surface, and due to the protrusion, it will stand slightly at an angle, allowing air to penetrate into the jar and create a greenhouse effect in it).

Tip: to prevent the remaining grains in the jar from overgrowing when you have already started to consume some of them, we advise you to put them in the refrigerator. There, the growth of seedlings will slow down, and they can be stored for up to 3-5 days (milk thistle seedlings - up to 2 weeks).
