The TDS meter allows you to quickly and easily determine the purity and temperature of water from various sources: flow filters, jugs, wells, wells, pools and aquariums. Also, using the TDS meter, you can set the amount of metal salts present in the water, measure the air temperature. Determination of the value of TDS (total dissolved solids) is used in the preparation of various solutions and water purification for hydroponics. The TDS meter is a modern portable device, convenient for measuring the quality and temperature of water and air, as well as the presence of salt-containing components in water. When measuring the water hardness level with the help of the device, ppm – (the concentration of salts in one million water particles) is measured. The salinity of water is determined by the following indicators:
from 0 to 50 ppm – ideal drinking water;
from 50 to 170 ppm – satisfactory water condition (after filter cleaning);
from 170 to 300 ppm – untreated tap water;
from 300 to 400 ppm – hard, untreated water from the source or a natural reservoir;
from 400 to 500 ppm and above – constant water consumption is dangerous for health.
For convenient use, a liquid crystal display is located on the body of the TDS meter, on which you can see the measurement data. Measurements are easy to make using three buttons located on the case, directly under the display screen:
to turn on the TDS meter, you need to remove the leather case, and press the ON/OFF button;
lower the TDS meter into the measured liquid to a depth of 5 cm;
in the presence of air bubbles, the water must be stirred for several seconds;
the stabilization of the readings occurs after about 10 seconds and to fix the measurement results, you need to press the HOLD button;
the large size of the LCD display allows convenient reading of the measurement results;
when a flashing signal x10 appears, you need to multiply the result by 10;
by pressing the TEMR button, the air temperature is measured;
the included TDS meter shows the temperature of the environment where it is located – in water or in air;
to switch to the TDS measurement mode, it is necessary to press the TEMP button again;
the device has the "auto-off" function, which turns off the TDS meter 10 minutes after the measurement is stopped, which allows you to extend the battery life;
after the necessary measurements are completed, the TDS meter must be dried.

It measures temperatures in the range from 0oC to +80oC.
